The center of our building is the historic Haring Homestead, a home built by Jonas Haring in 1705. In 1750, Haring's son, Elwood, built an addition to the original house and moved it alongside his father's. Construction of this sandstone farm house was started C.1788. John Yeury bought the property in 1791 and built a sawmill later combined with a gristmill on the nearby Pascack Brook. In 1795 the farm was purchased by Abraham Garret Haring whose descendants occupied it for four generations – 111 years.

In 1906 the house became Martens Gall Inn and has continued as a restaurant through successive owners. In 1998, we purchased this wonderful house and renovated it throughout to bring back the splendor and glory of its lush wood floors and decorations. Today, Jade Village serves thousands of people every year in the restored Haring Homestead farmhouse.
